Malibu: Summertime play on this course is inexpensive, mainly due to overall course condition. Greens were in fair condition, fairways okay. Sand traps were in poor shape, due to lack of sand. Yardage markers were hard to come by. Overall Okay.
QuickBuck: Nice subdivision course. Midsummer condition is very good. The greens look fast but were deceptively slow and did not break. Play this course any time. It is a fun course that can be challenging if you are not in the fairway.
Stone: Trees have started to grow since the last time I played here many years ago, making it a much prettier course. Nice elevation changes and layout. Nothing special, but nothing bad either! Course in typical summer condition, but was pleased to see actual rough for a change. Everyone else has pretty much scalped the fairways and the rough, but here it was 4-5” or more which made for an interesting round. Dirt – not sand – in the bunkers was the only real negative aspect of this course aside from the lack of beverage cart.
