MyTi: Traditional type course. Plenty of challenge from the tips. Easy course from front tees. Keep it on the fairway and you can score. Stay away from houses. Bunkers were inconsistent, but overall it was a nice course.

Bone: Situated in an upscale community. This course is a nice break from desert courses. Always in good shape, it is not difficult but the trees can cause problems. Greens are large and give ample birdie chances. Traps have inconsistent levels of sand. A nice place to play.

Malibu : This 27 hole course is demanding. Shots off tee demand accuracy to stay out of trees. Fairways were in nice shape, greens were fast and difficult to read. Sand traps needed sand. Overall, fun experience.

Stone: Nice traditional course in retirement community. Three nines to mix and match, most with a fair amount of water. Greens in excellent condition (I wouldn’t know about the sand traps) but do not expect a beverage cart in the afternoons. Didn’t see one today, and if memory serves me correctly, didn’t last time either. I suspect, because of the older patrons, there is one in the mornings but in the afternoon they simply disappear. Quite crowded today during the week and in the afternoon in late January. Nice bar and restaurant. Nice people. A course you should try.

Played the Lakes and Palms 9’s. The course was in better shape than most courses at this price level. Tees were fairly level. Fairways and greens wer in good shape. Even the rough was in decent. Overall, a great value.

I found the Lakes 9 fairly challenging, the Palms 9 not so much. The holes rarely double back on each other, which is nice for those of us that have trouble keeping it down the middle.

The driving range is a little short for today’s big hitters. On the second tee of the Palms, we had several balls hit the protective fence on a fly, which is a little unnerving.

No bev cart, and few watering stops, may be a little troublesome in the summer months. Pack an extra water.
