Comments
Malibu: This golf course is worth playing, just for the endless beautiful views all around. The fairways and greens were in nice shape. Sand traps were hard packed. Summer rates are very reasonable. Hope to play it again soon.
Subette: Amazing views, plays up on the canyon and also moves down into the valley. Course condition was really good, considering the summer play. Greens were rough due to aeration three weeks prior. Sand traps not fun, but can be easily avoided. Difficult, but plenty of wildlife to distract you from your score.
QuickBuck: Great fun even at winter prices. Hard to believe you can play it for $25.00. You have to be on your game. There is no escaping the desert. Many special features in the landscaping makes it interesting at every turn. Don’t miss this course.
Stone: The 9th tee box picture does not do this course justice. This course has incredible views of the Superstition Mountains and surrounding areas. Tough course, but very fair. If you are limited in your accuracy, stock up on clearance golf balls as you are not likely to return home with as many as you started with. Greens bumpy post aeration, sand traps a little hard, but I feel like I am being too picky as this course is definitely top five in Arizona in my opinion. Coyote we saw crossing the tee boxes on 18 probably agrees. Lots of rabbits but not sure where the dinosaur might be. Sister course Sidewinder is nothing special (see its review) so be sure you get the right course when you call for a tee time.

Can anyone tell me how crowded the Dinosaur course is on a week-end or week-day? Is it possible to play as a twosome? Although I play reasonable well, I go to Az for vacation and hate to feel penned in or rushed when playing. Many thanks for any info.
