Stone: A mountain course with very nice views of the surrounding town on the front nine. The back nine is more or less flat, but also with some good views. It is a “shot maker’s course” for sure on the front nine, with deceptive lengths and strategically placed washes and hazards. Travelling wedding groups slowed our progress, as the beautiful setting encourages numerous weddings on site. The restaurant and bar are upper deck with an outside full length balcony to enjoy the views. The only negative was the dirt sand traps, but the cheerful and friendly staff more than made up for it. One of the best California courses I have played so far – play it if you get a chance!
