Malibu: This is a target course that demands accurate tee shots. Shots that stray are trouble. Fairways and greens were in okay condition, sand traps were good. Overall difficult experience.
Steadfast: Not very fair. Too much target golf. Slow Play!!!
Bassman: Too much difficulty for a public course. It slows play, always looking for balls. Not a fair course with rough across the middle of the landing area.
Stone: Tricked up course, no fun to play. Seems like they put transition areas on every fairway near the 200 yard mark, so unless you can bomb it over 250 yards in the air you have to hit a layup shot, and then have a too far second shot. This course does not require “strategy”, but only a tolerance for aggravation. Very slow play results, even mid week. Uneven greens. Nice people, club house, and restaurant, but I will only return if my arm is twisted behind my back. |
