Bone: Very beautiful course in Northwest Mesa. Also very tough! Back tees a real challenge for good golfers. Strategic traps throughout make it tough on average golfer. Greens putt true and give legitimate shot at birdie.
Malibu: This is a beautiful desert course that demands accurate shots to score well. Fairways are narrow for the most part. Sand traps had enough sand in them for a fair shot out. The greens were in good shape. Straight shot needed here.
QuickBuck: Beautiful scenic course. Do not understand why this course is so difficult. Several blind shots rewarded with undulating fairways is part of it. If you want to show off an East Valley Resort type course, this is a great choice.
Stone: High in the East Valley. Great scenery, narrow (at least it seemed that way) fairways. Nice restaurant, well stocked pro shop, but cart person disappeared after first five holes and never seen again. This is one of those courses which seem to have all the necessary elements including scenery, good course conditions, and good greens, but leaves me with no desire to return. |
