Bassman: The fairways were overwatered. A lot of standing water. Bunkers were muddy. Good greens. Very fair to play.
Bone: This course improves every year. Off-fairway condition poor, scenery is so-so. Tee distances for every kind of player and 7,500 + yards from tips. Ten years ago this course was very poor, much pride of ownership apparent.
QuickBuck: Conventional course that is not very interesting but challenging. Areas past the rough are dirt and not maintained; if dry, extremely dusty; if wet; thick mud. Overall the course is in good shape and improving. This is an average Arizona course, not a golf destination.
Stone: Every year this course gets better. Over 7,500 yards from the tips, but plenty of tees to choose from. Elevation changes and enough variety to make it interesting. Hotel on course has “hat” shape on building, “bat” shaped pool and “ball” shaped Jacuzzi. Course built for major league spring training clubs in the 60’s and 70’s with lots of cool pictures of past baseball stars near the bar. |
