QuickBuck: No rewards for a good shot in the fairway. I would rather ride my dirt bike on this course. The Pete Dye hills make great jumps and are no place for a golf ball. The course was in good shape and the staff is friendly. Pete Dye ****!!!
MyTi: Classic Pete Dye. Middle of fairway not always driving range like, but still better than the mounds off the fairway. Need to play different type of shots which make it fun. Good restaurant, friendly staff.
Stone: Great restaurant, great staff, crappy course. Not much fun, and not particularly pretty with power poles everywhere. Very challenging from the tips, course is in pretty good shape, convenient location, beverage cart so solicitous it was almost annoying, but what is up with the parking lot next to the driving range with no nets? I wonder how many sliced practice balls have broken windshields and dented cars. Maybe ASU has a part interest in a windshield glass company. Should play at least once just to say you did. |
